Special Events
Midsummer Festival (21 June - 26 June, DF): Starting the morning of Litha, the 5-day-long Midsummer Festival is a celebration of life and Seelie Fae culture. After rituals and spending lots of time outside on the Summer Solstice, the first day of the festival is capped off with a large bonfire in the center of cities throughout the Dappled Forest and other Fae kingdoms.
Hunting Day (4 July, DF): Young Fae men are sent out to hunt their first buck. Outside the Dappled Forest, this tradtion is only really upheld in the most conservative, traditional noble families.
Harvest Festival (31 July - 7 August, DF): Starting the night of Lammas, the Harvest Festival is a week-long celebration honoring the Goddess, and the first fruits of the harvest.
Blue Moon (31 August, DF): While there's often special services or rituals held on the different full moon days, the most extravagant and exciting festival is the Blue Moon festival at the end of August, which celebrates the death and rebirth of the Goddess.
